Tomorrow morning (FRIDAY) there will be a joint hearing on Right to Work. CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS TODAY TO URGE THEM TO SUPPORT THIS IMPORTANT LEGISLATION!
The halls of the statehouse have been packed with PAID union protestors from out of state that are attempting to derail the legislation. Legislators need to hear from small business owners NOW. They are most assuredly hearing from the union organizers and their members. Don’t let the organized protestors drown out your voice. Your NFIB public policy team is working hard to tell your small business story, but we need your help!
Right to Work would forbid compulsory union membership. Right to Work laws, which have been adopted in many states, allow an employee to CHOOSE whether or not to join a union. Compulsory union membership violates individual rights and unreasonably denies workers their livelihood for refusing union membership.
Status as a Right to Work state is a major plus for companies looking to locate in Indiana. Adopting a Right to Work law will increase Indiana’s economy bringing more customers and growth to Indiana’s small businesses. Right to Work legislation will lower labor costs for employers and will help create jobs.
