Override Governor Perdue’s Veto of the Healthcare Bill!

Over the weekend, Governor Perdue vetoed a bill challenging the unconstitutional federal health care law. House Bill 2 challenged a provision in the federal law that would require most people to buy health insurance by 2014 or pay a penalty. Governor Perdue’s veto was a slap in the face of small business. If the veto stands, small business owners in North Carolina would lose their freedom to make their own health care decisions. NFIB has joined 26 states in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the federal healthcare law. The healthcare law will increase costs for small businesses and make it harder for members like you to own, operate and grow your business. Your legislator's vote is absolutely vital to overriding the governor’s veto and protecting your right to choose your own health care options. So, please, take a minute to contact your legislator and urge them to support small business and vote to override the governor’s veto of House Bill 2.
