HB 277 (SUPPORT) - Sponsored by Representative Jody Richards, HB 277 tackles the ridiculous amount of red tape and paperwork currently required by small businesses filing local payroll and business license taxes. Small businesses providing services across mutilple counties and/or cities are more than familiar with the paperwork nightmare of completing dozens of different local tax forms. HB 277 requires the Secretary of State create a standardized form all local jurisdictions would be required to accept. HB 277 simply begins the process of bringing efficiency and common sense to Kentucky's local tax filing system.
