Ask Congress to Repeal the Medical Device Tax

On January 1, 2013, a 2.3 percent tax went into effect on medical devices, including imaging equipment. Join the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) and its member companies in making your voice heard. Ask your Members of Congress to cosponsor S. 149 in the Senate or H.R. 160 in the House, legislation to repeal the job-killing medical device tax,  

Unfortunately, this $30 billion tax on medical devices hurts American jobs and stifles innovation.  The tax on hundreds of thousands of cutting-edge and basic essential medical technologies will increase healthcare costs for all Americans who depend upon these products.  By repealing the device tax, we can help ensure patients' continued access to necessary medical innovations that enhance quality of care and improve patient outcomes. Please send a letter to your Members of Congress asking them to repeal the medical device tax.
