Bernadette A. Budde
Senior Vice President

Bernadette Budde is regarded by many as the dean of congressional campaign watchers. For more than 30 years, her sometimes unpopular – but historically accurate – advice and command of campaigns, candidate numbers and nuance have earned Budde the role of trusted 'source' and frequent counsel. Budde was instrumental in the development of the Prosperity Project ® and the Prosperity Fund, two key initiatives run through BIPAC which foster greater political awareness in the business community at the local, state and federal levels.

Budde joined BIPAC as a research analyst shortly after graduating from college.  Over the years she has served as Director of Political Education and Vice President of Political Education. She was elevated to Senior Vice President in 1993. Budde is a native of Wisconsin. She earned a B.A. in Journalism from Marquette University and her M.A. in Public Policy from the University of Maryland.  She is not all business.  Bernadette is an avid Washington Wizards fan, and is often in the stands at the Verizon Center cheering them (and Caron Butler in particular) on.
