The Illinois Prosperity Project

Welcome to the Prosperity Project

The Illinois Prosperity Project (IP2) is a coalition of employers and statewide business organizations founded in 2002. The mission of IP2 is to provide employees and associates with information concerning actions taken by their state and federal elected officials, and to help more individuals get involved in the elections process.

IP2 allows individual sectors of the state's economy to focus on issues important to their members and employees. It will also promote voter education, voter registration and efforts to encourage employees to exercise their most important constitutional right — voting.

IP2 will not endorse or publicly support any candidate for office. However, the business community believes it is vitally important for employers and employees to understand the relationship between the impacts of governmental actions on economic growth, competitiveness, and job creation & retention in our state.

Every day, our elected officials are talking about energy and the environment; workforce readiness and education; and tax and regulatory policy. Do you want to know how these issues impact the prosperity and well-being of every American worker and family? You can learn more by viewing our short videos on these important topics.
