 About these pages:

Throughout these page we present information to assist you in casting your vote and becoming more involved in the electoral process. But we don't - and won't - tell you how to vote. That decision is up to you.

Mining depends on the interest and involvement of its employees to help identify issues that are important to the company and to register our concerns with lawmakers at all levels of government. One form of involvement is to vote.

Over the past several years, federal legislation and regulatory mandates have created uncertainty for many industries, including mining. Compliance and enforcement mandates along with increased reporting requirements create additional costs of doing business. These mandates and unnecessary regulations discourage economic growth by driving jobs to other countries.

Legislation and regulations significant to CC&V include:

  • Safety with unworkable rules
  • Minerals policy and permit delays
  • Reliable and affordable sources of energy
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates without the approval of Congress

We need informed elected officials and policy makers that are open to discussions regarding our industry. We believe electing pro-mining representatives from both parties to state and federal offices is critical to the success of our industry and company. Are you and eligible members of your family registered to vote? If not, the last day to register to vote in the general election is Tuesday, October 9, 2012. It’s easy to register, click on the “Register to Vote” button here:

How you vote is your personal decision and your decision alone. In our free society, informed voters are the greatest protection of our democracy. Remember to vote! Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
