2011 Elections

In the 2011 General Election, there were three statewide ballot issues and many important local issues for Ohio voters to decide. These included local bond issues, taxes, or levies. Local officials, including mayoral candidates, members of your boards of education, municipal officials and local judicial candidates were also up for election in 2011. Ohio's jobless rate drops, but so does number of jobs 

January 21, 2012 (Columbus Dispatch) - December’s jobless numbers produced the second straight sharp drop in Ohio’s unemployment rate, but it came at a price: a big drop in the number of people in the labor force. On the plus side, a rebound in manufacturing in Ohio continued last month, with companies in that sector adding 600 jobs in December.  Read the full story here.
