Subject: Ethanol Sales
Bill: SB 52
Description: Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Provides that, on or after July 1, 2013 and on or before December 31, 2018, the taxes imposed under the Acts apply to (i) 90% of the proceeds of sales of gasohol, (ii) 80% of the proceeds of sales of E20 blended ethanol fuel, and (iii) 60% of the proceeds of sales of E30 blended ethanol fuel.

Description: Urges the suspension of all sales of gasoline blended with ethanol that are above E10 due to the possibility of harm to engines.

Description: Provides that the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity may provide information to gas stations in the State encouraging the stations to offer E15 as an option for customers; provides that the Department may provide information to gas stations on any financial assistance that may be available to subsidize the cost of providing E15 blended fuel to consumers.

Bill: SB 1566
Description: Requires annual purchase and display of an off-highway vehicle stamp - $15 fee; prohibits operate any off-highway vehicle within the state unless the off-highway vehicle has attached an off-highway vehicle usage stamp purchased and displayed; beginning 2014, imposes a $2 surcharge on motor vehicle registration to be used for conservation efforts; beginning 2014, imposes a $2 surcharge on motor vehicle weight taxes to be used for conservation efforts
