Coal Ash Legislation
Following the massive spill at the coal ash impoundment pond in Kingston, Tennessee, in 2010 EPA proposed two options to regulate the disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals (CCRs, aka, “coal ash”), as either hazardous (RCRA Subtitle C) or non-hazardous (Subtitle D) waste. Pattern of Violations
The pattern of violations (POV) final rule from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) was published on January 23, 2013, with an effective implementation date of March 25, 2013.
