Presidential:
Connecticut continues its trend of a Blue state in the 21st Century and delivered its seven electoral college votes to Hillary Clinton.
 
Senate:
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D) was re-elected.
 
House:
All five incumbent Democratic Representatives from Connecticut were re-elected.
 
Other Notable Election Results:
Even with all of Connecticut's state house seats up for election this year there was not a realistic chance that either chamber switching from Democratic control.  In the House of Representatives Connecticut Democrats did lose control of 7 seats holding a majority with 79 seats of the 151 total seats. In the Connecticut Senate Democrats lost 3 seats from the  21 seats they controlled of the 36 total seats prior to the election in that upper chamber.  There were no major statewide ballot initiatives on the ballot for Connecticut in 2016.
