Presidential:
New Jersey remained a blue state in 2016 and gave its 14 electoral college votes to Hillary Clinton.

House:
New Jersey will have one freshman member in its Congressional delegation with the defeat of Representative Scott Garrett (R).  The delegation will now include Josh Gottheimer (D) from the New Jersey 5th and will breakdown with seven democrats and five Republicans.  

Other Notable Election Results:
New Jersey voters approved keeping all gas taxes raised in the state dedicated to transporation funding, but disapproved the buidling of two new casinos in northern New Jersey.

Garrett's statements hurt his fundraising and also cost him with independent voters in his northern New Jersey seat.
