Presidential:
Hillary Clinton won New Mexico's five electoral votes and Democrats kept New Mexico in their column for the third consecutive cycle.  Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson saw his best performance in his home state recieving 9.3% of the vote.  Johnson never quite caught traction like some though he would with both majority party candidates having high unfavorables.

House:
The New Mexico delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives saw all of their incumbents returned to office.

Other Notable Election Results:
New Mexico voters approved all five ballot questions on the 2016 November ballot.  The ballots measures covered everything from ability of courts to deny bail to bonds for education and public safety improvements.  Democrats made gains in the New Mexico State House in both chambers.  In the New Mexico House of Representatives Democrats took the majority and won five seats.  The New Mexico House is now made up of 38 Democrats and 32 Republicans.  In the New Mexico Senate Democrats were able to add two seats to their majority in that chamber.  The New Mexico State Senate now has 26 Democrats to 16 Republicans.
