Donald Trump won Utah's six electoral votes.  Trump garnered over 46% of the vote to Hillary Clinton's 27.8% and Evan McMullin's (i) 20.6%.  McMullin was given an outside shot at beating Trump in Utah, but the final election results had McMullin finish a distant third in his home state.  

Incumbent Mike Lee (R) was re-elected to a second term in the U.S. Senate.

Republicans kept control of the Utah delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives and all of the incumbents were re-elected.

Incumbent Gary Herbert (R) was re-elected to his second full term as governor and has been in office since 2008.  Herbert faced a primary challenge from former CEO Jonathan Johnson (R), but easily defeated him in the primary after Johnson had secured 55% of the vote in the Republican state convention that had forced the primary election.

Other Notable Election Results:
Republicans gained one seat in the Utah State Senate and now control 24 of the 29 seats in the upper chamber.  In the Utah House of Representatives Republicans lost three seats and now the Republican majority is 60 seats to the Democratic minority of 15 seats.
