In keeping with its mission to represent and serve as the voice of the plastics industry locally, nationally and internationally, SPI continues to direct its efforts toward influencing public policy on issues of concern to the industry. Through its Political Action Center, SPI provides a grassroots network to rally the more than 1.4 million plastics workers nationwide. Grassroots mobilization is a powerful tool in the arsenal of issues advocacy. By uniting the various segments of the broad-based plastics industry – one of the largest manufacturing industries in the nation – into a single, cohesive voice, SPI seeks to effect change in the public policy arena.The SPI Political Action Center will enable every plastics worker to become involved in the political process via the following tools:
