Tell the Senate to bring common sense to Louisiana's construction codes!
Louisiana’s construction codes are a mess, and it’s costing you time and money.
Builders follow the rules of the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council, except when it comes to plumbing. By law, plumbing is overseen by the Department of Health and Hospitals—which uses a different set of rules and regulations.
By voting YES on HB1048, the Senate would save small businesses money by simplifying the state's construction code, improving efficiency and adopting the same International Plumbing Code that's already used in 35 states, including Mississippi and Texas.
